Beyond textbook dialogues: Using guided induction to teach conversational practices

In this workshop we discuss:
– how to lead students to analyze textbook dialogs;
– how to incorporate authentic data in comparison with textbook dialogs;
– and methods for encouraging critical thinking in language analysis.
