Guided Induction

Guided induction is a process through which students are exposed to new and/or familiar language material; the presentation method and/or the material itself are structured in such a way that encourages the inductive process and language analysis. CLIC’s interpretation of guided induction includes: authentic language data; enhanced, but not overly structured, input; language analysis; language awareness; and student-centered activities. This list is explored in depth in the first workshop below.
